22.  HENRY SMITH was born in Chislehurst Kent in 1839. He married Elizabeth around the summer of 1860 and by the census of 1861 they were staying at Wells Yard Bromley. By 1881  Henry was a Carman and staying at 9 West Street Bromley with his family and 2 lodgers .  In 1901 the family were at 7 East Street  Bromley.

 A carman was a driver of (horse-drawn) vehicles for transporting goods.  They were often employed by railway companies for local deliveries and collections of goods and parcels.

44. PHILLIP SMITH born 1813 was an Agricultural labourer staying at Crown Lane Chislehurst  Kent in 1841 with his family. He died between 1847 and 1851.

45. ELIZABETH, surname unknown, born about 1915 was left a pauper after the death of Phillip with 4 children under 10 in 1851 and only Henry working age 14 as an agricultural labourer.
