X2. GRANDPARENTS

50. HUGH McKENNA was born in 1813 possibly in Ireland. He married Catherine Carlow  at St Margarets Roman Cathlic church Ayr on  13/6/1833 by James Scanlan and witnessed by Mary McKenna and Mary Kelly. They were living at Doune Stirlingshire where the first 3 chilren were born. Son Hugh was born at Falkirk and the last of the family was born at Kilsyth.  I can find no record of the familly in the census reports. He died on 13th March 1873 of erysipelas at Lumphinnians. He was an agricultural labourer.

Mary Ann married and had one son, William Ross.
Sarah was married to Francis Clarke who was born in Ireland, and had at least 4 children, Elizabeth b. 1852 Sarah b. 1849, Mary b. 1855 and John b. 1859.They moved from Carnock to Lumphinnians Row Lochgelly some time before the  1871 census.
